Collaboration - The Peacock Project
“About a Caplet”
A Book, and Poetry with a side of Fabric
Painted Denim Apron & Purse
A Painted Denim Apron was a collaboration with @abbychristinecreations.
Go Beyond Fear
Another addition to my “Exploring Memories” collection. It seems I now have another category, “Go Beyond Fear.” If you’ve been with me a while, you might remember the black denim dress a while back with these very words.
3 Kool T’s
It took me several draping hours of placing the white Art Expression design in just the right ‘spot’. And I came up with this dress-over-dress piece.
The Uniform Dress
This is the piece that began my Exploring Memories 22/23 collection, the Uniform Dress. My idea was to create all subsequent pieces in this collection, with the option to be worn with this dress.
A Tattered Quilt Top
A tattered quilt top was found. It was not yet quilted. Little rips and stains, which adds to the character. I mended some, and worked around others. But used almost every inch of that quilt top in this vest.
Memories of Hexagons
Memories of Hexagons. A 2-part vest, left and right side snapped together. And a vest with odd shapes and vintage snaps.
Don’t Label Me
Sewn in a collage-style, “Don’t Label Me” is created using a collection of vintage clothing labels.
Dinosaur Dress
Another dress created using the Celestial Dress pattern. Whole cloth fashion fabric embroidered with all shapes and sizes of dinosaurs.
Going Beyond Fear
This ensemble began with the dress. I created the dress using black denim and stencils I cut from freezer paper.
Denim Coat
Upcycled Denim sans Coat. My collection of recycled denim is vast. And denim fashion, to me, is timeless. I continue the journey of up-cycling.
Ezra In Denim
A recycled denim jacket I created, using the Ezra Coat pattern, by @alabamachanin.
Amethyst Rock Candy
These genuine amethyst crystal eyeglass frames are the definition of crystal couture!
Kid Super Trench
I’m excited to show you my new, artful trench coat by the Brooklyn, NY designer KIDSUPER. He is joyful, thoughtful, full energy and all things good.
Popeye, Olive Oyl and Swee’Pea
A few used & vintage t-shirts, and an upcycled skirt is designed.
Denton Taylor - Guest Artist
Denton is the person who convinced me I should share my creations on IG, and offered to take the photos.
