Don’t Label Me

After years of collecting vintage clothing labels, it was time to bring them back to life.  A tedious task of (machine) stitching them together, one by one. I used a muslin base, cutting the pattern pieces out first. Then collaging the labels in a random layout. Using a tiny zigzag stitch to connect them. Lined with a silk taffeta. For this ensemble, I layered it over a dress purchased from Gary Graham collection. Vintage cowgirl boots, and a bowler hat top it off.
