Spring Coat
Ready for spring in my duster coat. A piece I created in the 90’s. Three layers of cotton fabric and lots and lots of thread together with lots of machine stitching. Once cut out and layers, the stitching begins. After each section is finished, the seams are bound with bias strips. On the outside there are squares of solid and polka dot fabrics added to back center seam and edges. Again, the stitching commenced to get all those squares nailed down. The pattern was from a company called “Fashion Blueprints.” This pattern was their “Korean Coat.” I don’t believe they are still in business. You might be able to find out of print patterns on Etsy or ebay. Shoes are UGG, purse I found on Etsy.
